The LDL175 is a plug-and-play laser diode module with on-board safety features and a built-in ON/OFF switch. It emits an optional circular or elliptical dot that can be used for alignment, detection, and measurement in laboratory or industrial environments.
Increasing the safety of your application, a manual laser shutter and an LED indicating the ON/OFF switch status of emission is located on the exterior of the module. A remote interlock enable input and delay switch is also installed on the infrared models for an additional layer of safety.
Equipped with a built-in ON/OFF, the LDL175 is recommended for laboratory experiments, educational demonstrations, and industrial processes where the power supply is out-of-reach. It is successfully used in applications such as:
- Object alignment/positioning
- Dimensional scanning (metrology)
- Event detection
- Edge detection
- Optical fibre testing
- Robot control
Wavelengths of green (520nm), red (635, 650, 670nm), and infrared (780, 850nm) are available with output powers up to 5mW. The green model emits light that appears more than 2X brighter to the human eye than the equivalent power in 635nm. As a result, you’re more likely to see these projections against dark materials, in high ambient light levels, or from long distances.
The LDL175 can be powered via an industry-standard DC jack plug. It is compatible with the Universal Power Supply (PS1) sold separately by Global Laser Solutions LTD.
